New Years Gathering Information
(Please note that this is general
information and that the specific information for each gathering might
vary.)
All who attend
should look forward to a spirit-filled gathering of new and old
Christian friends who are interested in a time of fun, learning, and
fellowship with an emphasis on being a dedicated witness to our Lord.
Dates & Times
The Celebration
begin Monday December 29, 2008 with registration at 4 pm and concludes
Thursday January 1, 2009 after breakfast and a closing devotion.

CELEBRATION at New Years!
Ages and
Registration
Everyone is invited
to attend. Experience in OAFC is not needed. Those participants under
the age of 12 (7th grade) must be accompanied by an adult.
Registration is $25
per person (when paid by cash or check) or $30 when paid by Pay Pal
(Michigan & Oklahoma only), which covers all meals, a NYG
shirt, recreation and materials. Registrations must be postmarked no
later than December 12th (December 1 for
Ogallala).
Attendance is limited! Late
registrations might not be accepted!
Meals and Lodging
2 breakfasts, 2
lunches, 3 suppers, 1 brunch, and additional snacks will be provided.
The 3 nights lodging will be in the Host facility. You must provide
your own towels, pillow and sleeping bag. The first meal will be
supper on the 29th. Thrivent

Lakes (Stevensville) New Years Gathering includes a $1600 Care Abounds
in Communities grant from the North Berrien Co. Thrivent Financial for
Lutherans Chapter.

- Personal Witness (OAFC Ambassadors)
- Servant Attitude
- Sleeping Bag and Pillow
- Towel and Toiletries
- Bathing Suit (modest one-piece ONLY)
- Clothes: Casual, dress, recreational, WARM and
MODEST. What you wear is a witness. Please represent Christ.

- Electronic
music or game devices
- Negative Attitude
- Candy, soda, junk food (Snacks
are provided when
necessary)
Environment and
Discipline
The environment of
the Celebration has a set, yet open, structure. This encourages growth
and sharing of our faith as well as development of good Christian
friendships. We depend on the participants to be responsible,
considerate, and involved in all activities. If assigned leadership is
not followed, disciplinary action will be taken in which the final
action could result in sending the participant home at their expense.
Additional Notes

Ample
time will be allowed for sleeping (8-9 hours) each night. Normally,
days will begin at 8:30am and end at 10:00pm, with quiet hours from
11:59 pm to 8 am.

A
social (free) time will be arranged for those who want to stay up till
11pm. Everyone will be in bed by midnight.

In case of a family emergency, let both your Team Leader and the NYG
staff know that you might be receiving a phone call. Do not plan to call
