Prayer and Financial support are also important that the Ministry of Ongoing Ambassadors for Christ might continue to grow. All are invited to click on the links to learn how you can help in these areas. Supporters should also know that Thrivent now matches gifts of up to $600 given to OAFC. Information can be found on the Financial page.
Leaders are needed so that new groups and be established and established groups can continue. Contact Dan Barz if you are interested in serving on a leadership team.

Alumni Coordinators
Annette Skibbe has supported OAFC for a number of years, encouraging the youth from her church and classroom at St. Peter, North Judson, Indiana to attend weekend and often giving them rides. In 2003 she returned to Summer Training as she served as our Overall Coordinator.
After hearing of the needs and opportunities for OAFC Annette and her husband Jim have expressed their desire to contact and encourage OAFC alumni.
OAFC alumni are encouraged to join the growing list of those who have registered through the form above. This information is processed by the OAFC staff and then will be shared with Skibbes so they can assist in contacting alumni.
New Teachers
Do you know what the two young
ladies at the right have in common besides some nice smiles?
They both:
- Are teachers at Unity Lutheran School
- Attended Concordia University Wisconsin
- Took a very active part during their high school and college years as Ongoing Ambassadors for Christ.
At a recent fundraiser for Unity Lutheran Christian Elementary school Pastor Tom Moyer had a chance to catch up with Beth and Christy. Beth is teaching 1st grade and Christy is teaching 4th grade at a fast growing school that is an outreach of the Southern Illinois District.

Iowa Alumni Gathering
June 3 Update:
Our Iowa OAFC reunion will be held June 27-29 at Mike and Melanie Maddicks home near State Center. Also open for housing is the home of Vicki Davis Messina 5 miles away. If you camp, you can pitch a tent, park a camper, etc. Maddicks have a new fire pit, so we will be singing around the campfire as always. Everyone brings food, meals are communal affairs, and we have a great time. Bring your pictures - past and present - and have fun catching up while we strengthen that bond that has kept us going all these years.
Hi fellow OAFC alumni! We're at it again!
For many years, the Iowa OAFC alumni have been camping each summer at Pine Lake
State Park in Eldora, Iowa, The ladies decided once a year was not enough to
catch up and visit. So we planned our own retreat.
Feb. 22-24, we rented the lodge at the Pine Lake Christian Center, complete with
fireplace, and had a wonderful weekend. We sang, we shared, we laughed and then
we sang some more. We discovered that staying up half the night talking was
much easier when we were younger! And we still can't get through "The Lord Be
With You" without crying. Here we are (home congregations). We haven't aged a
bit!

2007 Annual Iowa Alumni Reunion
The 2007 Iowa East OAFC campout was planned for June 22-24 at Pine Lake near Eldora, Iowa. Saturday night plans were for potluck/cookout, followed by a campfire and much singing. Sunday morning, we had several options, such as doing our own service at the campsite, with anyone at the campground invited to join us.

OAFC Alumni Gather
OAFC Alumni from Iowa gathered July 16-18, 2004 at Pine Lake State Park, Eldora, Iowa for a weekend of sharing memories and the Good News of Jesus. On Saturday morning 6 of them joined the Michigan Plus Group in their canvass for St. Paul, Eldora. During that canvass 2 prospects were identified and the Good News of Jesus was presented to 17 persons who had no church or were inactive in a church. The youth enjoyed hearing some of the “old” songs out at the campground on Saturday evening. On Sunday morning several alumni joined the youth Ambassadors in presenting “Heavenly Hotel” during the worship service.
